Taneulong is a Folk Music Artist from Bafut. His father (RIP) was a patron of the Neulong (Bafut for music) dance group in Bafut and hosted the group's meetings. He named his son Taneulong ('Father of music").
Taneulong masters various traditional and modern musical instruments.
Through out his career as an artist he has taken various courses and trainings in sound engineering and professional music production. He has groomed and mentored numerous young artists and collaborated with various national and international cultural promoters, traditional and orchestras.
With over three decades as a cultural ambassador of the Bafut people, his father designated him as his heir. As heir to his father, who was also one of the closest advisors to His Royal Highness Abumbi II, Paramount Fon of Bafut, and as recognition of services rendered, Taneulong was crowned Ta-La'ah Bukari, a title lifting him to the grade of third class Chief and Fon's representative in the Bukari village in Bafut.
