Developing a trade mark sound is not a day's job. Papa Kalin's style in Krakatoa is obviously influenced by his association to the Congolese community since childhood. The originality of Krakatoa, Papa Kalin's new single is crafted with attention to detail from the composing stages, through the involvement of veteran musicians grounded with authentic live sound production know-how from in glory days of Makossa and Ndombolo.

Guitar: With a fluent and light-handed touch, experienced and gifted Congolese Lead (solo) Guitarist, Miguel Solo ensures that African Guitar Lovers will remember this single for a long time to come. He brings to Krakatoa, the taste of African guitar originality that has been missing in many recent releases from Cameroon since the passing away of Eric Suffo (who was responsible for the original congolese guitar sound in the music of numerous Cameroon Music Stars, including the Late Kotto Bass).

Richness: The rich original live sound feeling is slowly giving way to computer and keyboard generated instrumentals.  Connoisseurs  of live productions and live recordings will definitely love the live recorded instruments, from live drums through to the Atalaku's shakers.

Our own veteran Sam Fan Thomas at Studio Makassi, ensures that future Papa Kalin Fans get the feeling of a clear live blend of all pre-mix ingredients!
