Papa Kalin - Bronze Medalist at the 2009 Cameroon Mutzig Challenge.
The Cameroon National Mutzig Competition, now named Mutzig Star, is one of the biggest national talent competitions in Cameroon, and has seen the participation of budding national talents over the years. These included Charlotte Dipanda, Longue Longue, Benji Mateke, Belka Tobis, Salatiel, Dany Mouna, Dynastie le tigre, etc.
I 2009, after performances from over 1000 competing budding artists across Cameroon, Papa Kalin (then Bebe Kalin) was pre-selected amongst the top 7 competitors to compete in the next stages of the challenge, comprising a tour of various regions of Cameroon.
That was his year of confirmation as he took home the bronze medal in the finals. This ultimate confirmiation of his talents and potential opened new avenues including the studio recording of his composition (Femme de la maison) that won him the Bronze Medal.
